Black And Gold Pageant

The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity is putting on their annual Black and Gold Pageant, December 1, 2009. Members of the Alpha Phi Alpha will provide all the necessary materials to effectuate success in the pageant (choreographers, dinners, dance performance outfits, etc). They will be awarding scholarships for the top three winners with 1st place receiving $500, 2nd place- $300, and 3rd place- $200 dollars! The Black and Gold Pageant is geared towards woman and more specifically minority women, but anyone interested please contact Dan Varney at 1-(319)-404-2722 or dangbv@iastate.edu OR Joshua Mensah at j[km@iastate.edu.

It’s a short week guys due to fall break so not much going on. Hope everyone’s mid-terms went well and everyone had a great fall break!

Oct 24-25^th: Reggie’s Sleepout @ Drake Stadium 7-10pm with the option of sleeping out overnight to support homeless kids who live like this every night! Contact your Community Outreach Liaison, Matt Martin (Kenneth.Martin@drake.edu) for more info!

Oct 25^th: General Assembly Meeting in Meredith 235 @ 4PM

Oct 25^th: First Year/Transfer Retreat with Lawrence Crawford at the Black Cultural Center. This is an academic check-up retreat! This event will happen immediately following the GA meeting!
